LACHUNG
(8500 ft above sea level)




The Village is a home to 19th century Buddhist Lachung Monastry surrounded by apple orchards.
It offers snow peak views even in peak summer. Lachung Popular excursion are to Yumthang valley , a big plateau surrounded by beautiful snow peaks

How to reach

Drive to Lachung from Gangtok via singhik view point , seven sisters waterfall and Naga waterfall

LACHEN



A scenic mountain village, home to lachenpas a unique Sikkimese Bhutia Community. Lachen is the sister village of Lachung . It is the base for tours to Gurudonmagr lake and Chopta valley

How To reach

Drive To Lachen from Gangtok  Will take  6 hours and drive from Yumthang valley will take 2 hours

Distance: 129 Kms from Gangtok



THANGU



30 KMS beyond Lachen lies Thangu at an altitude of 13000ft. Thangu has a large military base as it is close to Chinese border.Months of may and june see this valley carpeted with Alphine flowers which are replaced by snow from october to march.

ZERO POINT -Yumasongdeong



Beyond Yumthang lies Yumasongdeong popularly known as Zero Point for its sub -zero temperature at 15000ft with a 360 degree view of Himalayas.
Zero point is the last outpost of civilization. The road ends here. Peaceful valley and is quite windy - there is not much to hear but just stay here for some time to enjoy the beauty.  Calm, quiet and a sense of insignificance - time seems to stand still here.... like nothing ever changes.
